Original Series Photos

Series Project (4 out of 4)

This was taken from the top level of the parking structure located on the west side of El Camino College. The camera was positioned very low to the ground and ended up capturing the discarded butt of a cigarette and a brief moment of the horizon of school buildings and palm trees.

Series Project (3 out of 4)

This photo was taken during a road trip to Phoenix, Arizona. Originally, this image had very low exposure and lacked detail. It was interesting to see a random poster in the middle of an area that was mostly mountains and obviously under populated community.

Series Project (2 out of 4)

This photo was taken downstairs in the Music Building at El Camino College. Although the lockers in the foreground are in focus and appear to be the topic of the image, the two friends in the background are what were inspirational in taking this particular photograph. The warm, yellow light creates a positive ambience and contributes to the relationship between these friends in the hallway.

Series Project (1 out of 4)

Students were required to experiment with taking different types of photos, keeping in mind about certain aspects such as the depth of field and different perspectives. Students then chose their Top Four favorite photos and had the option of trying to create a series by having all four photos relate to each other with a certain theme.

This photo was taken during a corn field maze at a local pumpkin patch in Phoenix, Arizona. It was a beautiful, sunny day which allowed enough natural light to create a pleasing black and white image.
